(DLA Las Piñas GS LRC) November Book of the Month - A Sister More Like Me

It's really unfortunate we can enjoy full-on snow in the country but who's stopping us from enjoying stories filled with those wonderful crystal flakes?? Explore a wintery world of magic straight from Disney Animation Studio's beloved 2013 animation when you get your warm hands on A Sister More Like Me by Barbara Jean Hicks.

The children's picture book features an original 32-page story about sisters Elsa and Anna as well as adorable illustrations by one of the artists who worked on the film, Brittney Lee.

A Sister More Like Me focuses on the incredibly cute and sweet relationship between the movie's two different siblings, especially adding a new dimension to Elsa's side of the story.

It's a tale of accepting who others are even in our own families, well-written in verse and offering a slightly varied take on the story of Frozen.

While still appealing to the younger pre-school age group due to the stunning art remniscient of Mary Blair's work (an artist who drew concept art for early Disney Company's films and large-scale theme park attractions), it will also attract Frozen's slightly older fans with the clever use of rhyme throughout. Start your countdown to the Christmas holidays and try to enjoy the cold weather more while you cozy up with A Sister More Like Me!
