Fiction Books

Latest popular novels, classic and short stories in hardbound and paperback form

General Collection

Factual information on many subjects (including biographies)

Reference

Books which are generally used to locate specific facts quickly, including encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, etc.

Filipiniana

Philippine history and culture, political science, literature and other subjects other than those of technology. Publications written by Filipino anf foreign authors published here and abroad and books written by foreign authors but treating solely on the Philippines.

Supplementary

Various titles of textbooks on the different subject areas that are meant to be used as collateral readings besides the prescribed textbooks

Faculty

Books on education, psychology and teacher's manuals or guides.

Periodicals

Materials consist of current and bound issues of magazines, journals and newspapers.

Current issues are on the display shelves for easier access.

Bound periodicals are shelved like books, but are arranged alphabetically by titles. Important and relevant articles needed for research are properly indexed. Indexed articles are integrated in the PAC (Public Access Catalog).

Current issues and bound periodicals are restricted for LRC use only.

Video and cassette tapes, CDs, slides, charts, maps, pictures, globes, etc.

Audio-Visual Equipment

Overhead projector, VHS, VCD, TV sets, LCD, etc.

The computers provide access to current technology - Internet, free eBooks and online journals.


Public Access Catalog (PAC)

Divine Light Academy LRC's holdings - books, audio-visual materials and periodical articles can now be accessed through the Public Access Catalog (PAC). It is an electronic or computerized catalog , effectiviely replacing the traditional card-based catalog.

The DLA LRC adopts the Reference, Information Zone and Access to Literature (RIZAL) automation system.
