LRC Programs and Services

LRC Orientation

Considered one of the basic LRC services is the orientation program, which is held at the start of the school year. The objective of the program is to introduce to the students  and new faculty members the available information sources, facilities, services and staff.

General orientation is held every start of the academic year, which each head of offices are allowed few minutes to discuss the nature and services of their respective offices.

A guided tour to the different offices including the LRC is conducted to familarize new students. All faculty members are given orientation during the summer in-service period.

LRC handbooks on the proper and effective use of the facilities are distributed to all first year and new students.

Information Literacy Program

An instruction program aimed at helping students develop habits of reading and inquiry and encouraging competency in the use of resources.

Sessions are integrated in the English/Language Arts and Filipino subjects.

Personal Services

  • Find out readers' favorites
  • Assess students' reading abilities
  • Display and circulate new materials immediately
  • Recommendation of materials

Services to Groups

  • Assemble materials for classes to use when they come to the library for a specific assignment
  • Give lectures on library or research skills

Bibliographic Service

A bibliography of newly-acquired books and audio-visual materials are posted and distributed quarterly to all administratorsm grade/year level nooks and different offices. Along with the bibliography is a newsletter issued twice a year.

Individual Reference Services

  • Familiarize students with reference materials
  • Show students how to find information if they cannot find the information themselves
  • Encourage students to come to the LRC to find answers to any question they may have

Photocopy Service

Photocopying services are available at minimal costs.
