(DLA Las Piñas GS LRC) Film Showing of the Week - Planet 51

Missed seeing all your favorite films, old and new, at the Grade School Learning Resource Center cinema with all your schoolmates just after a long at school and before hitting the piles of homework waiting for you when you get home? We sure missed seeing all of you, movie lovers too so we're bringing back the beloved film showing every Friday starting this week!

It's science fiction comedy Friday as we present you with the most expensive movie produced in Spain that's we totally recommend for those who likes adventure animations Monsters vs. Aliens and Robots.

Planet 51 introduces human Charles "Chuck" Baker, a NASA astronaut (voiced by wrestler actor The Rock, Dwayne Johnson known best for work in Tooth Fairy and some Fast & the Furious films) landing on a distant planet filled with little green humanoids with snail-like feelers and pointed ears happily and peacefully living in a white picket fence society reminiscent of an older America with alien technology, 1950s-themed alien homes, and with only one fear...

The American astronaut is surprised to discover that we are not alone in the galaxy but he gets the shock of his life when the residents mistakenly believe that his presence is the start of an alien invasion of the human kind!

Luckily, Lem (voiced by Justin Long who's famous as the charming and musical chipmunk Alvin), a teenage boy quickly realizes that Chuck is friendly after he discovers that they speak the same language and makes it his personal mission to help him return safely to his ship. Come watch Planet 51 with us on September 5 at 4:00 P.M. In case you want to see something else next time, please talk to any of the library personnel present. :)
